Lessons from Srila Gaura Govinda Maharaj

One who is day and night 24 hours engaged in service of Krishna, engages his senses in service to Krishna, he can tolerate all urges of all senses.

Otherwise one is servant of the senses. One is go-das. Only if you are 24 hours engaged in the service of Krishna then you can tolerate.

I instead take shelter of mundaners and mundane things. Thinking they can save me and satisfy me. But the truth is only He can save me and satisfy me. So why should I take any other shelter?

The strength of the pure devotee is The Truth. Because He always speaks The Truth and glorifies The Truth, he is very powerful. Bhavad vidha bhagavatas, Tirtha bhuta swayam Vibho. Vibho means powerful. SB 1.13.10
