The tendency to hear stories
I love to talk. And my propensity can be very nicely dovetailed in Krishna Consciousness by speaking about Krishna.
Here is what I find worth noting as I read the Krishna Book by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada. Srila Prabhupada ki Jai!
1. Krishna asks all the demigods to take birth in the Yadu Dynasty as He will soon appear in it.
Now, that means demigods - who love God and are dear to Him, can take birth as Humans in whichever family they feel like doing so. I am surprised at my pride in executing some tiny service thinking that I am perfect in Krishna Consciousness. Here are persons in the material world who love Krishna more than I do. They can be boastful as Krishna is always on their side. But what about me? I have nothing to boast about!
2. Kamsa hears akashvani saying "You fool, you are pulling the chariot of your sister and brother-in-law, but you don't know that the eighth child of this sister will kill you."
Reaction to that is: Now I understand why in hindi movies the villians always get some kind of chetavani, akashwani, or warning. I wonder what the aim is - I suppose the aim is to muddle them up and force them to do something crazy out of fear. Kamsa perfectly carried out all sorts of atrocities simply by the trigger of this warning.
I can see a script of the entire drama written in a book thick and large, with its pages flipping one can see the rise and fall of a great dynasty with many heroes and the wonderful adventures of all the persons in the plot with every possible masala and emotion mixed in for effect.
As this happens on a grand scale on can see many universes glow and dim as the pack of dear ones travel with Krishna from one planet to another, one galaxy to another, one universe to another, and so on...
And every time there is love, hatred, revenge, passion, friendship, alliances, wars, heroes, tragedies, sweet nothings and all the rest of it, all packed into one breath-taking episode with the attractiveness of a million drops of pure nectar, because at the center of all this deception and tragedy, is Krishna.
What a really unknowable personality of Godhead we have! and yet we claim that we know Him, although He Himself has not been able to fathom His own greatness...
